The Inventory Count function supports inventory count that can be applied immediately or can be pended for future review and application. The Inventory Count Template is used to define the fields that will be displayed when the Inventory Count function is used.


  1. From the Administration Icon select the Template Maintenance task from the Maintenance menu.
  2. Click the Add a Template button on the toolbar to define a template.
  3. Select Inventory Count from the Template Type drop down
  4. Type in a template name and description.
  5. From the Products Field column flag the fields you wish to display on your template. Fields selected for the templates that are not applicable for the task will be display only.
  6. Flag one or more employees from the employee list.
  7. Press the Save button from the toolbar.
  8. Press the Exit button to return to the main menu.

To edit a template, double click the template name from the template list box and make your changes. Press the Save button from the toolbar to save your changes.

To Delete an Inventory Count template, select the template from the template list box and press the Delete button from the toolbar.

Note on Wireless:  If the Update Stock on Hand setting is flagged in the Wireless Settings, the stock on hand for the product will be updated immediately to the value entered in the count.  Otherwise, the stock on hand for the product will remain unchanged until the inventory count is reviewed and updated via the Inventory Count function in the back-end module.
