Managing Customer Information
You will want to maintain regular customers in your Retail customer file. This is because regular customers might be granted special privileges such as cash back over their order amount, customer discounts or electronic couponsElectronic_Coupons. If you want to track sales by customer, they must be added to the Retail customer file first. If possible, link husbands and wives together. Design your store purchase card application to indicate both names, driver license numbers and work phones numbers for the couple.
Use a simple card numbering convention.
Keeping customer information current (particularly addresses and phones) will allow you to:
- Mail Ads or call about Special Privileges to your regular customers.
- Manage Bad ChecksBad_Check_Maintenance.
- Give your best customers coupons on the items they purchase most frequently.
