The Markdown Report can be generated by Batches, UPC, or Total Ad Loss within Batch.  

Batches will show the sales loss within a specific batch. If an item is in more than one batch, the ad loss for that product may not show up in the batch selected. The ad loss will only show up in the batch with the highest priority. The name of the report generated is Product Ad Loss By Batch.

Ad Loss by UPC will generate a report showing all the UPCs with ad loss within a specific date range. The name of the report generated is Product Ad Loss By UPC.

Total Ad Loss within Batch will show the loss for each product in the batch, even if the loss was actually in a different batch having higher priority. The name of the report generated is Total Ad Loss By UPC Within Batch.
