Select the following Check Tender options to allow the MICR to read the customer’s checking account number, used to track bad check writing.

    • Read Check: Change to “Yes” to allow the MICR to read the checking account number.
    • Account Number is Card Number: The checking account number instead of the customer number will be used to enter bad checks in Bad Check Maintenance.
    • Show Check Memo: Change to “Yes” to enable displaying the memo field from Customer Maintenance, if this field is used to record bad check writing information. If the customer is not allowed to write checks, this field will be shown on the Front End.
    • Read Check and Frank: This option will enable the MICR reader to read the account number and frank the check without the cashier having to remove and re-insert the check.
