The Customer Group form is used to group customers to create Thank you letters and Gift Certificates.


Begin by using the Filter button to create a selected group of customers.

  1. Open the Customer Sales report from the Customers menu.  After the Customers Sales report is displayed press the Customer Group button in the toolbar.
  2. The Customer Group form opens with all the customers for the selected Sales Report displayed in the Customer List BoxCustomer_List_Box section (the left side). To group the customers highlight each customer and press the single arrowAdd_a_Single_Item__ button to send the customer to the Customer GroupCustomer_Group_List_Box section (right side). Or:
  3. To group all the customers displayed in the Customer SectionCustomer_List_Box (left side) press the double arrowAdd_all_Items___. This will send all the customers to the Customer GroupCustomer_Group_List_Box section (right side)
  4. Select one of the following from Select Type:

Thank You Letters:

    • Select Thank you letters from the Select Type and press Print.Customer_Group_Print_button 
    • Exit from Word, from the file menu, without saving the letters or the Template letter.  This will take you back to the Customer Group form.

Gift Certificates:

    • Select Gift Certificates from the Select Type and press Print. A form will open up so that you can enter the amount of the gift certificate. A letter with the gift certificate will be automatically generated for every customer in your group.
    • After printing the gift certificates, exit from Word from the file menu without saving the letters or the Template letter.  This will take you back to the Customer Group form.
  1. Press the Close button to exit the Customer Group form and return to the Show Customer Sales report.

Tips: Use the Sort option to sort the selected customers by total sales, profit, gross margin, quantity, or alphabetically.
