The Database Tab specifies where the database is located on your system. You will generally need to perform this function only once, unless the configuration of your network changes.

SQL Server Databases

    • Server Name: Generally the IP address of the server, for example, 172.16.1.155\RETAIL
    • User Name: This is the user name given during the installation of the program. Do not change the default 'itretail'
    • Password: The password set during the installation of Retail. Do not edit.

To set up or change the Database location:

  1. Click on “System Information” from the Administration Menu.
  2. Select the Database tab.
  3. Enter the name of the Server.
  4. Click on the “Save” button to save the changes.
  5. Press the Test Connection ButtonTest_Connection to verify that the connection has been made to the server.
  6. Press Close to exit the form.
