Select from the drop-down box the method you would like to use to Track Weighted Items.  This will indicate whether movement will be tracked by ‘item count’ or by ‘actual weight’. For example, a package of chicken passed over the scanner can be counted as “1” or by the weight of the package “3.45”.

    • Track Scaled and Random Weighted Items by Pounds: Select this option if you want to have Random weight and Scaled items tracked by the actual pounds sold. The product movement table will then display the pounds sold. In order for the random weight meat labels to display the actual pounds sold in decimals you also must flag the “Scaled/Tare” field for the product in Product Maintenance. When the Scaled flag is not set the actual pounds are captured but the number is rounded to a whole number.
    • Track Scaled and Random Weighted Items by Each: Select this option to track by the number of items rather than the weight of the items.
    • Track Scaled Items by lbs. & Random Weight by each: Select this option to track the random items by item count. This selection will track the scaled items, such as produce items, by pounds sold.
