Price Changes can be grouped through the Enter Prices for an Ad/Batch task. This task allows price changes to be grouped as an Ad Batch or a Normal Price Change Batch.

    • Ad Batch is for products that require a temporary price change for a promotion. The temporary price change will go into effect on the start date and will go off on the end date. The system will use special pricing during the specified time frame and then automatically revert back to normal pricing when the promotion is over.

If two ads are running concurrently and both have an identical product, Retail will evaluate the priority of both ads. The ad with the highest priority will be in effect. The other ads conflicting price changes will be saved and applied later if the promotion has not expired.

    • Normal Price Change Batch is for products that require a price change on a particular date. If prices for a group of products need to be changed on a particular date, you can create a normal price change batch. Select Normal Price Change from the Create New Batch form.

Once the batch is created, press the Apply button.  If the Ad/Batch is in the future, Retail schedules the price changes and applies them to the master product file the night before they are to go into effect. If the Ad/batch is currently active, Retail will immediately apply the price changes.
