Penny Rounding is only for use in countries that are phasing out pennies. Flag this field to round pennies up or down to the nearest 5 cents. Only used in countries that are phasing out the penny.

When turned on, cash transactions will be rounded down ($0.01, $0.02) or up ($0.03, $0.04) to the nearest 5 cents. All other tenders (credit, debit, EBT, check, etc.) will not be rounded. The cashier will need to enter the rounded amount, not the actual total. For example, an amount of $1.03 will be rounded up 2 cents to $1.05. If the customer gives the cashier $1.05, the cashier will enter 105CA, and the customer will not receive change. If the customer gives the cashier $1.10, the cashier will enter 110CA, and the customer will receive $0.05 in change, not $0.07. In Tender Maintenance, a new tender 'RD' has been created to track and balance the rounded amounts. By default this tender will be automatically populated in Till Statistics and Balancing.

The cashier can accept pennies. Using the example above, the cashier can enter 103CA, and the amount will not be rounded.
