The example below is just one way the bookkeeper may accomplish the Bookkeeping functions of Retail:

  1. At the end of the cashier’s shift, the Manager will print out the Till Statistics and Check List from the Front End. The Cashier will then perform a manual countdown and provide the results to the Bookkeeper.
  2. The next day, the Bookkeeper counts the vault down to the beginning vault amount. All amounts in excess of the beginning vault amount will be used for making a deposit.
  3. The Bookkeeper will then use all of the collected information listed above to proceed with the bookkeeping and reconciliation activities.
