The Customer Instore Charge Attributes dialogue allows the user to set up different charge attributes for individual customers, including Finance Charge, Terms, and Credit Limit.

To access this form, press the Customer Icon in the Main Menu, click on Instore Charge Maintenance, and then click on Set Customer Attributes in the Toolbar.

This form can also be accessed from Administration Icon. Select the Customer Maintenance form, and then click on Instore Charge Maintenance in the Toolbar. From the Instore Charge Maintenance form, click on Set Customer Attributes in the Toolbar.

To set Customer In-Store Charge Attributes:

  1. Select a customer from the Grid BoxIn_Store_Charge_Attributes_Grid at the bottom of the Customer Instore Charge Attributes form.
    • Grid Box: Displays all the customers with an instore charge account.  The Grid Box displays the Card Number, Name, Terms, Credit Limit, Current Balance, and Finance Charge.
  1. The customers Card No, Name, and BalanceCard_Number_2NameBalance are displayed in the top part of the form.
  2. The Instore Charge check boxIn_Store_Charge will display a checkmark. If adding a new customer, or editing an existing customer to allow in-store charges, click in the box to allow the customer to make charges.
  3. Select the Terms Terms_3for the customer from the drop-down box. To add new Terms In_Store_Charge_Termspress the Add button to the right of the field.
    • Terms: Select the terms from the drop-down box.  To add new terms, press the ellipsis button to the right of the field. “Terms” refers to the “Period”, that is, the number of days the customer has to pay off the instore charge before a finance charge is added to the account, providing that the Finance Charge field is flagged. (This differs from the Grace Period in the Finance Charge form, which is an additional period added to the terms.) To compute the finance charge, press the “Finance Charge” button in the toolbar of the main Instore Charge Maintenance form. The finance charge will be calculated according to the due dates of the charges, plus any additional grace period the user adds.
  1. Enter the Credit LimitCredit_Limit_2 for the customer.  This field defaults to the Credit Limit set up in System Information, accessed via the Administration Icon.
    • Credit Limit: The Credit Limit defaults to the limit set up in System Information.  To change the limit for an individual customer, enter the new amount.  Press Save to save your changes.
  1. To make this customer subject to a Finance ChargeFinance_Charge_2, flag the Finance Charge check box.
    • Finance Charge: Flag this field to make the customer subject to a Finance Charge. The Finance Charge must be initiated by the user by pressing the “Finance Charge” button in the toolbar of the main Instore Charge Maintenance” form.
  1. Press Save to save your changes, then close to return to the Instore Charge Maintenance form.
