The Print Register Productivity Report provides management with information on the hours each register is in use, the number of cashiers, the scanning time, sales amounts, the number of customers, average order size and average item price for each hour of the day.

  1. Select the Register Productivity Report from the Point of Sale task list, under the Register Menu.
  2. Enter the Start and End DatesStart_Date for the reporting period.
  3. Select the Time Interval: By Hour, or By 15 Minute.
  4. Select your Show Report option: By the Total Store, by Department, which lists each department with sales during the time period selected, or by a Single Department. If you select Single Department, choose the department from the drop-down list box.
  5. Press the OK button. The report is prepared and the preview screen displays.
  6. Select the Print option from the report preview screen. The Print dialogue box displays.
  7. When you have made selections, press the OK button.
  8. Close the print preview screen from the file menu.


The columns of this report display the following information:

    • Hour: Displays each hour of the day that the checkstands are signed on, with the total number of hours at the end of the column.
    • Number of Checkers: The number of Cashiers signed on to the check stands during each hour of the day, with the average number of cashiers signed on to registers for the day at the bottom of the column.
    • Sign-on Hours: The actual amount of scanning time for each hour, with a total amount of scanning time for the day.
    • Sales Amount: The sales for each hour of the day, with the total amount of sales for the day at the bottom of the form.
    • Items Sold: Items sold per hour in fractional notation. The numbers are fractional because the number reflects weighted items (for example, 1.25 lbs. of meat). The total of number of items sold is shown at the bottom of the column.
    • Number of Customers: The number of customers for each hour, with the total number of customers for the day.
    • Average Order Size: The average dollar amount of orders filled during each hour of the day and the average order size at the bottom of the column.
    • Average Item Price: The average prices of all items for each hour. The total line shows the average price per hour for the day.
