Scale Maintenance is only available if you have selected the option of interfacing your system with Retail's scale management program.

Use the Scale Department Maintenance form to map Retail Departments to the associated Scale Departments. Each of the Scale Departments has a set of scales and PLU items assigned to it. The Scale interface:

    • Administrates your scales by delivering detailed scale item information through a single visually intuitive interface.
    • Maintains critical scale-related information such as tare, ingredient, shelf life, and nutrition facts.
    • Reduces UPC/scanning errors.
    • Merges scale data with the item data maintained by your current Retail pricing and distributes the result to every scale or printer throughout your store.
