Special Pricing

Running a 24-hour store does not affect the way that special pricing is treated in the system. Special pricing still becomes effective based on the calendar date. If a product has special pricing, then at 12:00 AM of the start date, the pricing will become effective regardless of the processing date.

Product Batches

Scheduled product batches (batches with a start date in the future) are put into effect as part of a job that runs on the Server. When applying a batch with a future start date via the Product Batches Management function, the system schedules the batch to become effective as of the start day. The Store Close uses the current calendar date when determining if a batch needs to be put into effect.

Set this field based on which of the two scenarios below apply to the store:

    • If the Store Close process will be run prior to 12:00 AM and you want batches with a start date effective the following day put into effect, then set this field to 11:50
    • If the Store Close process will be run after 12:00 AM and you want batches with a start date effective the same day put into effect, then leave this field blank

For example, lets say you are running the Store Close at 11:00 PM on 12/10/20 and you want to make sure that batches effective 12/11/20 are put into effect, then you need to select this field. If you are running the Store Close at 2:00 AM on 12/11/20 (the close is actually for the 10th) then you do not want to select this field because you want the batches with an effective date of 12/11/20 to go into effect now.
