Errors can occur when the Store Close runs, preventing the store close from finishing.

Some errors are:


  1. One or more lanes are Offline. This means that the server cannot connect to the lane to ensure that all transactions have been uploaded to the server. If this is the case, the store close should not continue. The problem with the lane or lanes should be resolved so that all store sales are included on the correct day.
  2. Suspended transactions exist on the lane. If the setting in System Information for dealing with Suspended Transactions is set to Resume, and not to Clear, then the manager or cashier will need to sign onto the lane and deal with those transactions, probably by canceling them.
  3. Out of balance transactions may also exist. This is a very rare problem. If your store close is failing due to issues with out of balance transactions, contact IT Retail or your reseller.
  4. Cashiers still signed on. All cashiers must be signed off for the store close to continue.
