Use the Mix Match field to group multiple like products together.  For example, if you have fruit pies at 3 for a $1.00, the customer can purchase any flavor of the fruit pie (same size and manufacturer) to get the discount.  Take care when selecting the numbers to group products together.  Make sure not to use the same mix match numbers for other products.

Mix Match codes are used when creating Ad Batches or Electronic Coupons.

To add a Mix Match Code to a product, click on the ellipsis button to the right of the field to bring up the Product Groups, MixMatch form.

  1. The Product Group form will open up.
  2. Press Add to create a new group, or, if a group exists, enter the UPC and then send the product to the group.

  1. In previous versions of Retail, the Mix Match code was added within Product Maintenance by entering the code into the MixMatchCode field. This led to problems if the user could not remember the number, or miss-typed it.
  2. Normal Mix Match Codes are used for grouping similar items with the same pricing method and price, for example, Group Threshold. All soft drinks that are $1.05, buy 1 for $1.05, buy 3 for $3.00.
  3. Special Mix Match Codes are the same as Normal, but used only for sales, normally created through Ad Batches.
